Method for producing a recording material with an authentication feature

Producing a single authentication feature exhibiting recording material with a sheet substrate dyed in mass and a pigmentation covering entire surface of at least one side of the substrate, comprises e.g. (a) producing a sheet substrate intensely dyed in the mass, having a front side and a rear side, (c) applying the first coating composition at the front side of the sheet substrate to form an uncolored pigmentation, (d) drying the first coating composition, (e) applying the second coating composition at the rear side of the sheet substrate, to form an uncolored pigmentation, and (f) drying. Producing a single authentication feature exhibiting recording material with a sheet substrate dyed in the mass and a pigmentation covering at least one-side surface of the substrate, comprises at least (a) producing a sheet substrate intensely dyed in the mass, having a front side as the first of the two sides of the substrate and a rear side as the second of the two sides of the substrate, (b) preparing a first- and a second coating composition comprising at least one pigment and a binder, (c) applying the first coating composition using a first coating unit at the front side of the sheet substrate moving with respect to the first coating unit during applying, to form an uncolored pigmentation covering the entire surface on the front side of the substrate, such that the uncolored pigmentation of the first coating composition has an opacity of 80-100%, (d) drying the first coating composition, (e) applying the second coating composition using a second coating unit at the rear side of the sheet substrate moving with respect to the second coating unit during applying, to form an uncolored pigmentation covering the entire surface on the rear side of the substrate, such that the uncolored pigmentation of the second coating composition has an opacity of 80-100%, and (f) drying the second coating composition. An independent claim is also included for recording material comprising a sheet substrate, a first coating and a second coating. Vorgeschlagen wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines ein Authentifikationsmerkmal aufweisenden Aufzeichnungsmaterials mit einem in der Masse durchgefärbten bahnförmigen Substrat und einem das Substrat zumindest einseitig vollflächig abdeckenden Pigmentauftrag.
