Zusammenfassung:The method involves providing a display chamber (10) and reservoir chamber (20) with two volumes, respectively, where bottoms of the volumes are formed by two intermediate films (16, 26) that comprise two passage openings, respectively. An amount of a fluid is divided into two partial drops (40a, 40b) that are introduced into the display and reservoir chambers, respectively. The display and reservoir chambers are brought together such that two openings partially overlap with each other. An electric field is created in the display and reservoir chambers such that the drops are joined together. The method produces a display element that comprises organic LEDs (OLEDs). An independent claim is also included for a display element for an electrowetting display.
