Method for treating a moving sheet of paper, cardboard or other fibrous material

Device for treating a moving paper-, board- or other fibrous web (3), comprises at least one coating device (1) for dispensing a liquid to pasty application medium on the surface of the fibrous web (3), a web side (3a) to be coated and at least one contactless drying device (9) including infrared dryer and/or air dryer for drying the coating layer.
