COMPUTER AND METHOD FOR VISUALLY NAVIGATING IN A THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE DATA SET

The invention relates to a method and device for selecting and displaying a two-dimensional section plane from a three-dimensional image data set, wherein the section plane is displayed on a manipulatable display device, wherein the manipulatable display device comprises a computer screen, wherein the computer screen is positioned in an original orientation, wherein an original plane is defined from the image data set on the computer screen in the original orientation and is displayed as the original section plane, wherein the computer screen is displaced out of the original orientation into a target orientation, wherein the change in orientation with respect to the original orientation is registered by means of a sensor and analysis device integrated in the computer screen, and wherein a target section plane corresponding to the displacement relative to the original section plane is calculated in the three-dimensional image data set and is displayed on the computer screen as a section plane.
