Hollow welded assembled frame structure
A frame structure for a saddle-ride type vehicle is formed by welding a plurality of tubular members. A lower frame (17) and an upper frame (18) are connected to each other by first to sixth reinforcing frames (21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26). A first engine hanger (11) is welded to a lower end of the lower...

Zusammenfassung: | A frame structure for a saddle-ride type vehicle is formed by welding a plurality of tubular members. A lower frame (17) and an upper frame (18) are connected to each other by first to sixth reinforcing frames (21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26). A first engine hanger (11) is welded to a lower end of the lower frame (17), and an atmospheric air communicating hole (30) formed in a side face of the engine hanger (11) to allow the inside of the lower frame (17) to communicate with the atmosphere. A first air vent port (31) and a second air vent port (32) for the lower frame (17) and the upper frame (18), and third air vent port (33) formed in a third reinforcing frame (23) and a fourth reinforcing frame (24), are formed in side faces of the abutting portions of the frame members so that they cannot be seen from the outside. Thus, the number of atmospheric air communicating holes which allow venting of air which has expanded during welding can be reduced. |
