METHOD FOR REPAIRING DATA FRAME ROUTES AND NETWORK BRIDGE

Method for repairing data frame routes that comprises: - receiving a frame comprising a source MAC address and a destination MAC address; - associating the source MAC address with the identity of the bridge that received the frame in the first place, with an expiration indicator and the arrival time; - deleting the associations of a port when a line failure is detected or the address validity timer expires; in such a way that when the received frame does not have its destination MAC address associated to any port and a there is a port that is associated to the source MAC address of the received frame, the method comprises: - routing the frames, whose source MAC address is associated with the port through which they are received, towards the port associated with said source MAC address; - rejecting the subsequent frames received whose destination MAC address is listed in a log of addresses being repaired.
