Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to an end cap (10) for covering the end side of a housing of a sliding rail and/or of a door actuator, having an adapter (30), which is operatively connected, on the one hand, to the housing and/or the door actuator and, on the other hand, to the end cap (10). According to the invention, it is provided that the end cap (10) has guide rails (15, 20) which interact with grooves (35, 40) of the adapter (30), wherein at least one guide rail (15, 20) has a region with a portion which is operatively connected to a portion arranged in a region of the grooves (35, 40) of the adapter (30), wherein the end cap (10), following installation, in the installation direction (55), is retained with a form fit and force fit on the adapter (30).
