Zusammenfassung:	A system for air conditioning an aircraft cabin is provided. The system includes at least one cooling circuit, at least one compressed-air line and at least one compressor for compressing air. The cooling circuit is connected to the compressor by way of the compressed-air line, and the compressor is drivable independently of bleed air. This makes it possible to tap engine bleed air at a lower pressure than usual, because an arising difference from a required operating pressure can be compensated for by the compressor. The air conditioning system can thus be operated by means of a hybrid energy supply.
