Zusammenfassung:A method for removing carbon dioxide (CO2) from a recycle gas system by means of an absorbent, wherein the CO2 occurs within a process in which ethylene is oxidized by oxygen (O2) to ethylene oxide (EO) in the gas phase in the presence of a catalyst, in which CO2 is generated as by-product, by using, as absorbent, an aqueous solution of one or more amines, wherein, for further purification of the recycle gas stream obtained after the CO2 absorption step, it is brought into intimate contact with water to which have not been added a mineral acid or higher glycol.
