Zusammenfassung:This invention deals with a power processing system able to process the power exchanged between an alternating current (AC) network {7} and multiple direct current (DC) elements {1} by time-multiplexing their connection {3} to the DC side of a DC/AC full-bridge (FB) power converter { 4 }. This is the reason why this invention has been named DC Time-Multiplexed Power Processor and its acronym is DCM- xyz , where x is the number of DC ports {2} of the power processing structure, y is the number AC phases, and z is the number of voltage levels used in the DC/AC power conversion process. Even though the DCM- xyz power processing structure was technically designed to work as an inverter in grid-connected PV power generation systems, i.e., delivering the power generated by the multiple DC PV panels to an AC grid, it can also operate as a rectifier if necessary, i.e., supplying multiple DC loads from the power consumed from the AC grid. Moreover, when the DCM- xyz power processing structure operates in inverter mode, its DC ports can be supplied by any primary energy source other than the PV one. The DC system of the DCM- xyz power processing structure can be constituted by a number higher than one of DC ports ( x ), and any arbitrary number of AC phases ( y ), being feasible to use any arbitrary number of voltage levels ( z ) in its power converter.
