Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method and a device for monitoring lines (14). The aim of the method is to monitor lines (14) in a system in which at least one electrical consumer (10) is connected via lines (14) to a headquarters (12), whereby a test signal is emitted to the lines (14) using a monitoring device (22) in order to determine the electrical resistance of the lines (14). Influences from the at least one consumer (10) are compensated.
