Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a method for automatically monitoring equipment of a railway vehicle (1) with a stationary monitoring system (50), the railway vehicle including at least one equipment (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26 28, 30, 80) to be monitored that is arranged to be visible from the outside of the railway vehicle, wherein the method comprises: acquiring at least one visual image of the railway vehicle (1) from the stationary monitoring system (50) such that at least a portion of the at least one equipment (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26 28, 30, 80) is represented; acquiring at least one thermal image of the railway vehicle (1) from the stationary monitoring system (50) such that the at least a portion of the at least one equipment (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26 28, 30, 80) is represented, wherein the position of an object on the thermal image has predetermined relationship to the position of the same object on the visual image; determining the at least one equipment on the at least one visual image and/or on a first picture generated using the at least one visual image; and determining a thermal information of the at least one equipment (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26 28, 30, 80) using the predetermined relationship between the thermal image and the visual image.
