Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a device (1000) for the continuous pyrolysis of organic starting materials (10). The device (1000) comprises a pyrolysis reactor (100) with a tin bath as pyrolysis bath (120) at a temperature of approximately 480°C, a devolatilizer (200) for metal deposition and desorption of hydrocarbon residues, and a cooler (300) for cooling, comminuting and discharging the pyrolysis solids (910). The starting materials (10), such as comminuted used tyres, for example, are supplied to the pyrolysis reactor (100) via an entry lock (800). Arranged in the reactor (100) is a hood (152) which reduces the area that the pyrolysis vapours (130) can occupy and that has an inlet (154) for recycled pyrolysis gas (720). The introduction of a defined pyrolysis gas flow into the reactor space (180) ensures rapid and directed removal of the pyrolysis vapours (130) to a condensation device (500). The device (1000) of the invention is notable more particularly for a metal recycling facility (400) which conveys metal deposited in the devolatilizer (200) back into the pyrolysis bath (120).
