Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a dry separator (1), especially for separation of solids such as turnings from a fluid, for example from (cooling) lubricants, comprising at least one sedimentation tank (2), a feed (3) through which solid-laden fluid can be introduced into a chute (4) arranged in a sedimentation tank (2) from above, a sedimentation space (5) which is arranged at the lower end of the chute (4) and has a suction pump (13) connected downstream from a filter (6), an outlet (7) which is arranged at the base of the sedimentation space (5) and can be closed by means of an occlusion element (8), a conveying screw (9) connected to the outlet (7) at the base. This allows a particularly inexpensive and rapid solid separation to be achieved.
