Zusammenfassung:A system 200 for monitoring mechanical stress on a turbine blade 130 is disclosed. The system includes a ferromagnetic blade mount 220, a magnetic sensor 204, and a processor. The ferromagnetic blade mount includes a magnetically encoded region. The magnetic sensor 204 is configured to measure magnetic flux linked with the magnetically encoded region. The processor is communicably coupled with the magnetic sensor 204 to compute a blade health indicator based, at least in part, on the measured magnetic flux.
