Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a portable, preferably card-shaped data carrier, comprising an inductively coupling data communication device having an antenna coil. A ferrite layer on one side of the antenna coil and a second ferrite layer optionally on the opposite side of the antenna coil extend perpendicularly to the coil axis of the antenna coil in order to guide alternating electromagnetic fields generated by the coil. At least one of the layers is divided into at least two segments, which are separated from each other by a dielectric gap in order to direct the magnetic field lines within the layer in the longitudinal direction of the gap. A body made of a ferrite material contacts the first layer and forms a spatial shielding structure having an amplified effect together with said first layer. The first layer can be a potting compound that is produced under the influence of a strong magnetic field, whereby a high relative permeability of the potting compound can be achieved. |
