Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a refrigerator including a heat-insulating main body which is made of a heat-insulating material and has a storage compartment formed inside, a door which is provided at an opening of the heat-insulating main body in a manner which allows opening and closing, a cooling unit which cools air in the heat-insulating main body to generate cool air, and a cool-air circulation path along which the cool air circulates between the storage compartment and the cooling unit, said refrigerator comprising, in the cool-air circulation path: a support which supports a photocatalyst; and an irradiation unit configured to irradiate said support with excitation light which excites the photocatalyst, wherein, in the cool-air circulation path, a fan circulates the cool air between the storage compartment and the cooling unit, and said irradiation unit is configured to irradiate said support with the excitation light during a period when the cool air is flowing around said support.
