Zusammenfassung:	The processing device (10) has a converter is provided in the vertical direction and in a direction perpendicular to the vertical direction. The converter is aligned to transport the workpieces (11) back and forth between a workpiece storage device (12) and the processing device. The workpieces are made of wood, derived timber products, metal or plastic. A converter unit (16) is comprised of a belt conveyor unit, a belt conveyor, a linear conveyor and a horizontally movable element. The workpiece storage device is provided with the stationary storage elements (18) in the transfer area.
