Zusammenfassung:	A plug element, in particular a QSFP plug element is configured for a lockable plug connection with a counter piece. The plug element contains a plug housing that extends in the longitudinal direction. In the housing an actuating element that is displaceabley mounted in the longitudinal direction being provided for unlocking. For locking, a wall section of the plug housing latches to a wall section of the counter piece in the plugged state. A flexible locking flap engages behind an edge of a recess. The recess is formed in a side wall of the plug housing and the locking flap is configured in a side wall of the counter piece. Unlocking is carried out by a displacement of the actuating element in the longitudinal direction, the element contains an unlocking element that pushes the locking flap perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction in the transverse direction out of the locking position.
