Zusammenfassung:	A blade carrier (11) has blade holder (12) for adjustably holding a blade (13) in radial direction. A drive (15) is mounted in housing (16) for rotationally driving the blade carrier along rotation axis. An adjustment device adjusts blade carrier so as to cut a filter rod at preset angle. A grinding unit (18) grinds the blade during cutting operation and includes grinding disc holder (19) in which grinding disc (20) is held and rotated around rotation axis. The grinding disc holder is fixed in region of blade carrier so that blade carrier is made to contact grinding disc. An independent claim is included for a method for position adjustment of grinding disc of grinding unit in cutting device.
