Zusammenfassung:	Time and temperature monitoring device. The device makes it possible to monitor the time and temperature conditions in which the product to which it is adjoined has been kept, by means of a gradual change in the same, so that it may be used to control the cold chain of foods and medicines. It is based on the growth of microorganisms above a threshold temperature, which gives rise to an acidification that causes a visible change in a substance that is present in the medium, such as a change of colour. The microorganisms and the colourimetric indicator are held within a porous matrix, preferably cellulose, with a basic weight equal to or greater than 100 g/m 2 , placed between two sealed plastic sheets, one of which is transparent. This porous matrix has optimum characteristics to permit, without the presence of a texturising agent, optimum and homogeneous visualisation of the change which has arisen within the device.
