The capacitor is connected to connecting terminals (93,95) of voltage source by a system shift element (7). The capacitor is connected parallel to a drive circuit (1) at input terminals (3,5). The shift element is closed and the capacitor is charged by operating circuit (77) for starting electric motor (2). The shift element is opened after charging the capacitor. The drive circuit is fed exclusively by capacitor voltage (Uc) during test step started by control unit. An independent claim is included for circuit device.
