Zusammenfassung:	The device has a nozzle (9) with an outlet port (12) for applying cold or hot glue on a cover strip (4). The nozzle is arranged such that the outlet port is arranged in a distance (A) to the cover strip moved past, where the distance ranges from 3 mm to 5 mm. The nozzle is aligned on an edge of the cover strip. A diameter (D) of the outlet port ranges from 0.2 mm to 0.35 mm. The nozzle is subjected with the cold or hot glue with pressure, which ranges from 2 to 8 barometric pressure. A ratio of the distance to the diameter of the port ranges from 3.5 to 6. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for manufacturing rod-shaped products (2) a method for controlling a device for gluing a moved cover strip.
