Zusammenfassung:	A method for designing a dental restoration of a type comprising a dental implant, a dental super structure, and a dental abutment for connecting the implant and the super structure. The method comprises the steps of retrieving a predetermined computer model of an abutment, using a user-created computer representation of a surface of the dental implant for providing a computer representation of an implant receiving surface, and for providing the predetermined abutment model with the implant receiving surface representation to provide a user-adapted abutment model. The method may help minimizing the time and costs in the preparation of a dental restoration.
