Device for diverting objects, in particular luggage, carried by a conveyor belt

A device for diverting objects from a conveyor belt comprising a moving element (7), which is mobile under the thrust of an actuator between: a resting position, in which the moving element (7) does not interfere with the objects (10) carried by the conveyor belt (5); and an activation position, in which the moving element (7) extends towards the conveyor belt (5) in such a way that the objects (10) come to bear upon the moving element and are diverted in a direction transverse to that of advance of the conveyor belt (5). The moving element comprises at least one pusher member (22) having a first end portion hinged to a supporting casing and mobile with respect thereto about an axis of rotation (23) which is set vertical in use. According to the invention the actuator comprises a crank-and-connecting rod system in which at least one connecting rod (25) has a first end portion (25a) hinged to the pusher member (22) in an area of the pusher member comprised between a second end portion thereof and the axis of rotation; the connecting rod has a second end portion (25b) hinged to an end portion of a crank (27) that is angularly mobile about a motor axis of rotation (28) parallel to the axis of rotation (23).
