Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus for applying a mixture of a first compound and a second compound is disclosed. The apparatus (10) comprises a first extruder (8) in fluid communication with a first gear pump (5) for processing a first compound (A); and a second extruder (40) in fluid communication with a second gear pump (42) for processing a second compound (B), wherein the outlet from each of said first and second gear pump is in fluid communication with an inlet (22) of a main extruder (20). Also a method of applying a blended rubber composition directly onto a tire building drum or core using such an apparatus (10) is disclosed.
