| Zusammenfassung: | The harvester i.e. field chopper (1), has a chaff assembly (12) for comminution of harvest (9). A camera (4) is arranged downstream to the assembly for optically detecting the comminuted harvest and producing images (5) of the comminuted harvest. The camera is connected with an image evaluation device (6) that is operated to derive characteristics of the comminuted harvest. The evaluation device recognizes edges in the produced images according to contrasts that run over a preset minimum length. The evaluation device determines a piece of stalks depending on the recognized edges. |
