Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a getter (1), comprising a getter housing (2) and at least one powdery getter material (3), which is enclosed in the getter housing (2), wherein the getter housing (2) is at least partially gas-permeable so that gas located outside of the getter housing (2) can come into contact with the getter material (3). In order to provide an effective getter (1) without the great risk of getter material (3) escaping from the getter (1) during use, according to the invention the getter housing (2) comprises a pipe (4), which has at least one grille in some areas, by means of which the getter material (3) is retained in the pipe (4).
