Method for synchronising time in a communications network

The method involves estimating and controlling clock count conditions (CT, Cin) and a compensation factor (R), where the controlled clock count condition and factor are determined from the estimated clock count condition and factor by a linear-quadratic regulators (LQR) based on a controlling section. The controlling section is provided with a correction term as a corrective variable (CV) for the controlled factor, where the controlled clock count condition represents the synchronization time. Master and slave nodes (SLn) are communicated with each other. An independent claim is also included for a communications network comprising nodes.
