Zusammenfassung:	The system has a fuel cell stack (3) connected with a reformer (4) over a connection line (6). The stack includes a set of fuel cells e.g. solid oxide fuel cells, with an anode (1), a cathode (2) and electrolytes. Two of three mass- or volume flow meters (13-15) are arranged in lines (7, 9) that guide oxygen. A third flow meter is arranged in a fuel gas line (5). A current or power meter (12) is arranged in an electrical output line (11). A monitoring device (19) is connected with the mass- or volume flow meters and the current or power meter for monitoring an after-burner (8). An independent claim is also included for a method for monitoring a fuel cell system.
