Media presenter

A media presenter (10,210) is described. The media presenter (10,210) comprises: a chassis (12) including a nose (14,214) coupled thereto, and including (i) a presenting end (42,242) distal from the chassis (12), and (ii) a presenting track (48,248) extending from the chassis (12) to the presenting end (42,242). The media presenter (10,210) also includes a carriage (20,220) mounted on the presenting track (48,248) for movement therealong, and comprising a carriage body (72,272) coupled to a carriage plate (74) by a linkage (96), the carriage plate (74) including a cam follower (116). The media presenter (10,210) also includes a cam block (22) defining a cam track (62) and being operable to engage with the cam follower (116) to move the carriage (20,220) between an open position at which media items can be placed on the carriage plate (74), and a closed position for clamping media items between the carriage plate (74) and the carriage body (72,272).
