Zusammenfassung:An integrally bladed rotor comprises a rotor main body (12) and a blade unit (16). When producing the rotor, these are initially spaced apart from each other such that a gap (20) forms. An intermediate body (26) is introduced in said gap (20) by way of rotational friction welding in order to bridge the gap (20) and connect the rotor main body (12) to the blade unit (16). As an alternative, the intermediate body (26) is first friction-welded to one of the parts (12, 16) to be connected by rotational motion. The other one of the parts to be welded on is then attached to the resulting integral unit by friction welding.
