Zusammenfassung:	The method involves manufacturing a carrier part (2) that is provided with a complete coating (4), and producing a sealing element (3). The carrier part and the element are connected to form a structural unit via an adhesive connector (5). The unit is inserted into an opening (7) in a housing (6). The carrier part is made of plastic and metal, and the coating is provided as a dip coating with polyamide. The coating comprises elastomer, and the element is made of PTFE and elastomer. The carrier part comprises a radial side piece (11), which is adhered at a front surface of the element. Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Dichtung (1) in folgenden Schritten: - gesonderte Herstellung eines mit einer vollständigen Beschichtung (4) versehenen Trägerteils (2); - gesonderte Herstellung eines Dichtelements (3); - Verbinden der beiden Teile über eine Klebeverbindung (5) zu einer Baueinheit (6); - Einfügen der Baueinheit (6) in eine Öffnung (7) in einem Gehäuse (6).
