Zusammenfassung:The method involves providing a mechanical energy storage i.e. helical spring, for storage of mechanical energy. An energy transmission unit i.e. piston, is moved between an initial position and a setting position for transmission of the energy from the mechanical energy storage to a fastening element e.g. nut. The energy transmission unit is provided with an electric motor (480) i.e. brushless direct current motor, that is operated free of load, where operating current is regulated in a tensioning direction for transferring energy of the mechanical energy storage. An independent claim is also included for a device for driving a fastening element e.g. nut or bolt, into a substrate.
