According to one embodiment of the present invention, a mobile terminal (100) includes a touchscreen (151) configured to display a list (300) including a plurality of categories and at least one content grouped for each of the plurality of categories, and a controller (180) configured to control an operation associated with a function corresponding the list displayed on the touchscreen (151), characterized by, the controller (180) configured to generate summary information for each of the plurality of categories based on information of the grouped at least one content if a command for a reduced display of the list is received, to hide the grouped at least one content from the list, and then to control the touchscreen (151) to display the plurality of categories and the generated summary information corresponding to the plurality of categories.
