Zusammenfassung: | An automotive electrical system (ES) for a motor vehicle (MV) comprising an internal combustion engine (ICE), the automotive electrical system (ES) comprising a main electrical power source (MB), an auxiliary electrical power source (AB), safety critical electrical loads (Ll) and non-safety critical electrical loads (L2), and an electrical switching device (DBM) arranged between the main and auxiliary electrical power sources (MB, AB) and at least the safety critical electrical loads (Ll) and configured to selectively connect at least the safety critical electrical loads (Ll) to at least one of the main and secondary electrical power sources (MB, AB). The electrical switching device (DBM) is configured to connect at least the safety critical electrical loads (Ll) to the auxiliary electrical power source (AB) during the cranking of the internal combustion engine (ICE) and/or when the motor vehicle (MV) is coasting with the internal combustion engine (ICE) off and the main electrical power source (MB) is faulty. |
