PHOTOBIOREACTOR

The bioreactor for culturing phototrophic microorganisms, comprises an inlet (4) and an outlet (5) with a continuous cultivation volume (3) between an upper transparent plate (1) and a lower plate (2) with a distance, where two parallel plates have deformations with elevations and depressions in regularly repeating geometry. The deformations with elevations and depressions have a wave or zigzag shape. The total height of the elevations and depressions is 1-20 cm. The distance between the upper and lower plates is 0.1-40 mm. The lower plate is a light reflecting coating, where gas-permeable membranes, membrane strips and/or membrane tubes are integrated in the lower plate.
