Hermetically sealed test strip container

A test strip container (5) for a plurality of test strips (24) comprising a housing (10) defining a cavity (12) which holds the plurality of test strips (24); a dispensing outlet (20); a dispensing wall (34); a priming means (14, 60, 82) mounted movably on the housing (10) to define a primed position and an unprimed position therebetween; a biasing member (22) which urges the plurality of test strips (24) towards the dispensing wall (34) to be aligned with the dispensing outlet (20); and urging means (30, 80) oriented to urge a single test strip (24) from the plurality of test strips (24) through the dispensing outlet (20) when the priming means (14, 60, 82) is transitioned from the primed position to the unprimed position.
