Zusammenfassung:Device comprises an electrolysis cell situated in a housing (7), through which the treated water is flowable, and which can be inserted in between two electrically contactable electrodes (4a, 4b) and a bed of metallic particles (5a), which are separated from each other by spacers made of an electrically insulating material. The metal particles are respectively covered by a welded plastic grid, provided on their surfaces with adherent plastic particles (9) or ceramic particles, or embedded in a replaceable cartridge of a spirally wound grid plate made of plastic. An independent claim is also included for phosphate ion binding in water by anodic metallic resolution , comprising using the electrolysis cell, through which the treated water is flowable, inserting it between the electrically contactable electrodes, separating bed of metallic particles from each other by spacers made of an electrically insulating material, providing the electrodes with alternating current, and varying the alternating current frequency depending on the phosphate content of the water.
