Zusammenfassung: | The device has an exhaust gas cooler (7) and an exhaust gas recirculation line (8) with neutralization units (A, C, E) for neutralizing corrosive constituents of exhaust gas condensate, where the neutralization units are connected with downstream arranged components e.g. charging air coolers (3), and exhaust gas recirculation line. Exhaust gas flows through the downstream arranged components. The neutralization units have a surface made of metallic material e.g. aluminum, aluminum alloy, zinc and zinc alloy, that chemically reacts with the condensate, where the surface contacts the gas. An independent claim is also included for a method for reducing corrosive constituents in an exhaust gas condensate of an internal combustion engine. |
