Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a method of packing a packing material into a plate-type reactor which comprises a reaction vessel for reacting a raw material therein and a plurality of heat-transfer plates disposed side by side within the reaction vessel, the heat-transfer plates each comprising a plurality of heat-transfer tubes connected to each other at the periphery or edges of the sectional shape, the heat-transfer plates having been arranged in the reaction vessel so that the heat-transfer tubes are connected in the vertical direction, and in which a particulate packing material is charged into the space between adjacent heat-transfer plates to form a packing layer in the space, the method comprising charging the packing material into the space so that when the packing material is packed into the space from one charging site and the section where a packing layer is thus formed in the space is referred to as a packing section, then the following expression (1) is satisfied, in which 0 (°) is the angle of repose of the packing material, B (m) is the distance from the charging site for the packing material to an end of the packing section, in terms of distance in the axial direction for the heat-transfer tubes, and E (m) is 10% of a set value of the height of a highest point of the packing layer.
