Peer-to-peer content sharing

An apparatus for sharing current or recent activity specific to a user with at least one peer, comprising: a content daemon to detect and store information about current or recent activity specific to the user from a plurality of applications used by the user for the current or recent activity; and an instant messaging module communicatively coupled to the content daemon, the instant messaging module being adapted to send an indication of the current or recent activity specific to the user to at least one peer, the current or recent activity specific to a user being related to a user logged-in to the instant messaging module and including activity detected and stored prior to the user being logged-in to the instant messaging module.
