Zusammenfassung:	Producing aerosol particles, comprises producing an output solution by (a) aerating an aqueous solution containing a carbonate salt, which is present at least up to its solubility product dissolved in water, with carbon dioxide, (b) separating the resulting bicarbonate-containing solution (initial solution) from the solid carbonate salt, spraying this initial solution, drying the obtained mixture of aerosol particles, gas and water, and tempering the aerosol particles at >= 150[deg] C to convert the bicarbonate-containing aerosol particles to carbonate-containing aerosol particles. An independent claim is included for the aerosol particles produced by the above process.
