The cathode, anode, and separating component are received within a housing of the battery which also contains at least one electrolyte. The battery also includes at least one electrolyte contained within the housing, and at least one device configured to dissipate and/or collect gases or vapors from the battery. The battery also includes at least one device configured to introduce at least one replenishing electrolyte into the battery.
