Zusammenfassung:	A patient administration system according to the invention comprises a device which executes a patient administration program, a data source for making medical data available and an interface device which is integrated between the device and the data source and receives data from the data source, converts them to keyboard scan codes which are specific of the patient administration program and outputs said keyboard scan codes to the device. An interface device according to the invention is adapted to be integrated between a device which executes a patient administration program and a data source for making medical data available and receives the data from the data source, converts them to keyboard scan codes which are specific of the patient administration program and outputs said keyboard scan codes to the device. A method according to the invention comprises the following steps: receiving medical data from a data source for making medical data available, converting the medical data to keyboard scan codes which are specific of the patient administration program and outputting the keyboard scan codes to the device.
