Base station indication

Methods of proving an indication of a base station of a wireless communication network, user equipment and a network node are disclosed. A network node method of providing a user with an indication of a base station currently supporting user equipment comprises the steps of: detecting a mobility event indicating a relocation of the user equipment to the base station; and in response to the mobility event, transmitting a control message to the user equipment, the control message containing at least one predefined trigger associated with the base station, the at least one predefined trigger causing the user equipment to perform at least one of a plurality of different predefined operating procedures specified by the at least one predefined trigger to provide the indication of the base station to the user.
