Zusammenfassung:	Oral- and dental care- and cleaning agent comprises: a carrier; at least one alkylpyridinium chloride and/or alkylpyridinium bromide; and at least one surfactant (I). Oral- and dental care- and cleaning agent comprises: a carrier; at least one alkylpyridinium chloride and/or alkylpyridinium bromide; and at least one surfactant of formula (R-N +>((CH 2) nCOO-M1 +>))(CH 2) mCOO-M2 +>) (I). R : linear 8-24C; n : 1 or 2; and M1, M2 : H, Na or K; and m : not defined. An independent claim is also included for non-therapeutic method of preventing and treating caries, combating halitosis and/or treating gingivitis or periodontitis, comprising introducing the above preparation into the oral cavity, in the form of mouth rinsing solution and leaving it for a period of at least 10 seconds, preferably at least 45 seconds.
