Osteosynthesis plate for fractures near joints or osteotomies

The plate (1) has legs (2, 3) spaced apart by a distance and interconnected by a bridge element (4) e.g. band. The legs have a certain length and extend in the longitudinal direction from an epiphyseal to a diaphyseal end of the plate and an opening (8) for holding anchoring elements e.g. bone screws. The size and the shape of the legs and the bridge element are configured such that the legs are applied to a bone on both sides and in a region (E) of a joint e.g. olecranon joint (9). Tendons and/or ligaments radiating into the bone are not covered by the plate. An independent claim is also included for a method for treatment of a fracture or an osteotomy of a bone in a region of a joint. Die erfindungsgemässe Osteosyntheseplatte umfasst mindestens zwei zueinander beabstandete und durch mindestens einen Steg miteinander verbundene Schenkel. Die Schenkel weisen je eine Länge auf und erstrecken sich in Längsrichtung von einem epiphysären zu einem diaphysären Ende der Osteosyntheseplatte. Ausserdem verfügen beide Schenkel über je mindestens eine Öffnung zur Aufnahme eines Verankerungsmittels. Grösse und Form des mindestens einen Stegs sowie der mindestens zwei Schenkel sind dabei derart ausgebildet, dass die Schenkel beidseitig an einen Knochen im Bereich eines Gelenks anlegbar sind, bevorzugt am Olecranon.
