Cleaning head for a filter assembly

A cleaning head (64) for a filter assembly (20) for removing material from a process stream is disclosed. The cleaning head comprises a disk movable with a sealed filter assembly actuator (68); plural cleaning blades (66) attached to the cleaning head around an outer perimeter of the head, a given said blade having an arcuately shaped base (172) defining a curved outer face (174) of the blade, the blade having a side of base opposite the outer face, the side of base formed to have a groove (176) that extends the length of the base, the blade having two overlapping legs (183) having opposed inner faces formed with inwardly directed curved grooves (193); and a spring (190), located between the legs, biasing said given blade outwardly with respect to said disc for pressing against a filter element (46) to be cleaned.
