Zusammenfassung:	A description is given of a suction apparatus for extracting fluid, in particular body fluid, during a surgical intervention, with a device for creating a suction pressure (60) and an extraction line (62), which is connected by its first end portion (61) to the device for creating the suction pressure and is provided on its second end portion (63) with a tubular suction connector (12), in order to pick up body fluid and carry it away through the extraction line. The suction apparatus has in this case a device for nerve stimulation with at least one electrode (13), by which a nerve tract can be electrically stimulated.
